A twist-to-mix cap, also called an instant mixing cap, is a bottle cap with a sealed chamber that keeps a dry powder apart from the liquid. Twist the cap and the seal breaks, so the powder drops into the drink. Shake for three seconds and it's mixed, fresh, about ten seconds start to finish.

Inside the cap is a small chamber filled with dry powder, closed off by a seal. The bottle below holds the liquid. Twist the cap clockwise and the seal inside opens, so the powder falls straight down into the drink. The bottle stays closed the whole time.
